Filson recruits Richard Chai as their new Creative Director
In a very interesting move, Filson has chosen Richard Chai (perhaps a not so likely candidate) to play the role of Creative Director. While exciting, yes, will this move relieve Filson from having to lean on collaborations in order to stay relevant?

Over the years Filson has worked with a number of companies (from recognizable players like Levis and Vans to much more obscure labels like Apolis and Nanamica) who have played a substantial role in their resurgence, which seemed to centre mainly around Filson bags and accessories. But their clothing, while having maintained the highest standard of build quality, has been somewhat stagnant amongst the current stream of menswear.

I can only hope that Mr. Chai can live up to this industry's high expectations of both the brand and the man himself.

For a deeper look at Richard Chai's body of work, check out his profile on New York Magazine.

    (Online) Street Fashion Cred

Okay, we get it. Street style is popular, and everyone and their mother cannot help but “candidly” pose for photos of their carefully chosen outfit. While that sounds all good, what happens when it gets a bit much? And by ‘a bit much’ I mean completely overboard.
