Graffiti is often talked about as one of the four pillars of Hip-Hop, but where you can retrace the roots of DJ’ing, MC’ing and breakdancing, no one really knows where graffiti stemmed from. Until now.

Created by Roger Gastman during research for his book “The History of American Graffiti,” the film recounts the history of graffiti before it was considered an artform, and the countless individuals that spawned its’ popularity. If you’re already versed with some of the more popular historical figures mentioned in the trailer, than most likely you are age 40 and up, or possibly are a graffiti legend in your own right. But for the rest of us that are on the outskirts looking in, the film should be a well-received history lesson.

Wall Writers: Graffiti In Its Innocence (Trailer)

Currently in its’ Kickstarter stage, the film needs your support to hit the theatres, and we only have until August 24. Help support the movement here.
