At a hefty $299 price tag, one would hope that the Aura alarm clock does more than simply wake you up. And if that is your hope, you sir, are an astute gentleman. The Aura is fitted with a mattress sensor and a multi-coloured LED system that taps into your circadian rhythm.
After collecting the data, the LED orb mimics the general signals our body recognizes as the ideal moment to wake or sleep (blue lights indicating the morning and an orange/red at night to convey the sunset). In layman’s terms, the clock tries to wake you up when it suspects your body is ready for it.
Most importantly, the clock’s alarm is sensitive to the touch, allowing you to snooze without having to backhand the machine as it riles you up during your groggiest moments.
