Designers are always trying to find a balance between having something stay cost effective while not degrading the materials. Cohen in this case, solved the conundrum by stripping the ‘Solo’ series table and chairs to its bare minimums. There’s no added fuss here, no added comforts. The table and chair are here to do exactly what they were made for, and save some space to boot.
To not make it look so out of place however, Cohen also added a thin leather in-lay, available in a variety of colours, that add a small amount of customization to the ‘Solo.’ It may not be much, but it makes the tables and chairs more personal on something so stark.
