The Bike That Fits In A Backpack
If you have a trusty socket wrench as part of your utility belt, you can disassemble and reassemble the Kit Bike in a matter of minutes.

The Bike That Fits In A Backpack

If you think about it, a bike is almost awkward in every way. (Except when riding it, of course.) From the bulkiness of the frame to the grease on the gears, every thing is not made to be handled. Designed by India firm Lucid Design, the Kit Bike concept is attempting to circumvent the problem of portability when you are not posted up on the bicycle seat.

The Bike That Fits In A Backpack

When disassembled, the bike parts are small enough to fit in a backpack. The frame is made of hollow aluminum tubes that can be fastened together with a key. The frame only hooks onto one side of the wheels to allow the bike to be disassembled easily when leaning against a wall.

The Bike That Fits In A Backpack

As its still in the design concept, who knows what this bike will be actually like when you attempt to ride it. Here's hoping it doesn't take ten minutes for it to fall apart. But if all goes well, the Kit Bike comes with its own custom backpack to ensure you can haul your ride around when you need to huff it on foot.
